Warrant Scam Alert



In various parts of the United States, citizens are being targeted with phone calls and mailings advising them that a fictitious arrest warrant is outstanding. The notice advises the affected individual they can avoid arrest if they remit payment. Please be advised, federal courts do not require anyone to provide any sensitive information in a telephone call or offer relief from warrants for monetary payment. Furthermore, it is a crime for anyone to falsely represent himself or herself as a federal court official. The federal judiciary takes seriously such an offense. Anyone receiving such a telephone call or mailing should not provide the requested information, and should notify the Clerk of Court's office of the U.S. District Court at the following numbers:
