The United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida upgraded to the Next Generation of CM/ECF (NextGen CM/ECF) on April 5, 2021.
The NextGen system uses Central Sign-On (CSO) which allows lawyers (e-filers) to use one account across all NextGen courts (appellate, bankruptcy, and district). This means e-filers will be able to use one PACER login and password to access all NextGen courts where they have permission to file, as well as access PACER for all courts.
Lawyers seeking membership and e-filing access for the first time must visit the For Lawyers page to review membership requirements.
Current e-filers must complete the following steps to electronically file in NextGen CM/ECF for the Middle District of Florida:
- Obtain your own individual PACER account OR upgrade your existing PACER account.
- If you have a CJA Exempt PACER account, you must activate CJA privileges .
- Know your current Middle District of Florida CM/ECF login and password AND your current PACER login and password. You will be required to enter both to complete step 3.
- You must Link Your CM-ECF Account to PACER.
