Interns

Many judges hire law students to serve as interns or externs during the summer or school year, and many law schools offer students course credit for internships and externships. Although interns and externs are unpaid, the experience is invaluable. Hiring of interns and externs varies among judges. If you are interested in serving as an intern or extern, visit a career counselor at your law school. Because of the large number of law students, contacting chambers is discouraged.
