ATTORNEY RENEWALS

The renewal period opened on June 1, 2008. Forms and fees are due on or before July 15, 2008. Separate renewal forms are required for each attorney renewing membership - a firm cannot submit one renewal form on behalf of all its attorneys. A firm may submit one check to pay dues for several attorneys as long as each attorney’s Bar ID number is clearly referenced on the check to ensure everyone’s records are credited properly. Failure to renew in a timely manner will require that an attorney submit a new Attorney Admission Application, be scheduled for and attend an attorney admissions ceremony at one of MDFL’s divisional offices, and pay the $165 admittance fee before he or she will be readmitted to the Bar of this Court.

ATTORNEY ADMISSIONS

Attendance at the ceremonies is not guaranteed until the Clerk’s Office sends an “Initial Notice of Admission Ceremony". You may call the attorney admission clerk and reschedule your admission date for the next ceremony, providing you do so at least five (5) days prior to the originally scheduled ceremony date. If you do not reschedule, you must personally attend the ceremony on the date scheduled or the Court will strike your application and you will be required to resubmit your application.
