ATTORNEY RENEWALS

The 2008 and 2009 Attorney Renewal Membership period runs from July 15, 2008 thru July 14, 2010. Renewal material for the 2010 and 2011 membership renewal period will be mailed to active members of the Court's Bar in May 2010. Membership fees for the 2008-2009 renewal period were accepted until September 30, 2008. Attorneys who failed to renew their 2008 and 2009 membership are required to submit a new Attorney Admission Application, be scheduled for and attend an attorney renewal ceremony at one of MDFL’s divisional offices, and pay the $165 admittance fee before he or she will be readmitted to the Bar of this Court. ATTORNEY ADMISSIONS
Attendance at the ceremonies is not guaranteed until the Clerk’s Office sends an “Initial Notice of Admission Ceremony". You may call the attorney admission clerk and reschedule your admission date for the next ceremony, providing you do so at least five (5) days prior to the originally scheduled ceremony date. If you do not reschedule, you must personally attend the ceremony on the date scheduled or the Court will strike your application and you will be required to resubmit your application. The deadline for receipt of admission applications is the 20th of each month, for admission at the following month's ceremony. Applications received after that date will be processed for the next scheduled ceremony. Only counsel who have received confirmation from the Attorney Admissions Clerk to attend a ceremony will be admitted that day. Counsel are reminded to bring their admission fee of $165.00 on the day of the ceremony. Be advised that the presiding judge is subject to change. Attorneys should verify where to report when they arrive at the Courthouse.
